Designed By D’Amour was created to empower petite women who struggle to find clothes (swimwear, resort wear, lounge wear) for their large busts (sizes D-G). All clothes as well as unisex, vegan leather duffel bags and purses are handmade by seamstress and designer Zon D’Amour in Los Angeles.
Prior to pivoting into fashion, D’Amour worked as a Brand Manager and Multimedia Journalist. She is an alumna of the illustrious Howard University with a Bachelors of Arts in Radio, TV & Film.
With over a decade of experience as an entertainment journalist, she’s written for the Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper and several lifestyle publications including: CocoaFab, HelloBeautiful and xoNecole. D’Amour has interviewed Hollywood’s elite including: Spike Lee, Kevin Hart, Common, Kerry Washington, Melissa McCarthy, Angela Bassett, Usher, J.Cole, Anthony Anderson and Gabrielle Union to name a few.
As a videographer, she’s worked on campaigns sponsored by Chevrolet and Toyota. As a photographer, her work has been published in EBONY Magazine. Additional professional experiences includes working as a Project Manager and Event Producer.
She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, D’Amour currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
